The WTFJeans advanture started at the end of 2009 when the couple of us geeks wanted to make jeans for ourselves that would help us to easily put in and out the smartphone from the pocket while we are sitting.
First for fun, the whole story has become a serious business via Twitter and Facebook. Business which had lots of ups and downs, just like any other business.
After more than three years of work on WTFJeans, I learned a lot. I am especially proud that WTFJeans menaged to become a Worldwide Trending Topic on Twitter and found its place on Mashable, TechCrunch, Time, but in many other well-know media.
Since the majority of our customers are in the U.S. and we are in Europe, we came across a lot of logistical problems that I was not able to overcome during all this years. Moving of WTFJeans in the U.S. I saw as the only solution of these problems. Unfortunately, I was unable to find an investor for it and only two options has remain: either to close WTFJeans or put it on sale. I never wanted that WTFJeans adventure stops.
Fortunately, I heard from Hrvoje and with his partners from the firm Prvi Klik he has given me an offer I did not want to refuse.
It’s not just about the offer. Hrvoje and his partners Drazen and Dulijan already have very successful projects like Black Egg (Crno Jaje) and GoHome. I think this is a team that has ability to raise WTFJeans to a higher level and make a respectable worldwide business of it.
I wish them all the luck in the future business and thank them for bringing this decision!
Cheers, Pedja 😉
